Kamala Beach
Kamala beach is more quiet than the southern neighbours of Patong and Karon, but offers anything you might require. The strong local touch in Kamala makes the tempo slower and more relaxed.
The long beach is rather quiet to the north and offers more activities in the middle. There is normally plenty of space both on the beach and in the water. Along the beach walk there are a variety of restaurants and bars overlooking the Andaman sunset. Behind the beach walk lies the centre of Kamala with a variety of shops and restaurants. Everythiing is close and Kamala is perfect for just walking around.
There are two local markets in Kamala that you should not miss. These are traditional bustling market places filled with smells, sights, potential bargains and lovely fresh food.
