Karon Beach

Karon beach is known as the more quiet option to Patong Beach. Karon beach is less intense, more quite and the resort focus is more on relaxation than night life. Still you do find everything you might need in Karon Beach, just less frequent and at a lower cost than in Patong. Along the 3 kilometer long sandy beach in Karon there is a large variety of restaurants. There is something for everyone, from the well know "On the Rocks" to the small food stalls along the beach road serving today's catch of fish, shrimps and everything else that the Andaman Sea has to offer.

One advantage with Karon beach is that it is easy to go to other areas of the island. You have many options for transportation, be it the local bus or the private taxi. Patong and its night life and shopping is only 15 minutes away, Chalong with shopping malls and some of the islands best sea food restaurants is only 10 minutes away. Within a 15 minute range you have some of Phuket's best beaches: Kata Beach, Kata Noi Beach, Naiharn Beach, Freedom Beach, Jungle Beach, and Ya Nui Beach.
