Rainy Day Activities in Phuket

On the lovely Phuket Island, although mostly sunny during the high season, you are likely to experience some heavy downpours if you visit between May and October. We want to ensure that you have the best time during your visit, so here is a list of our top recommendations for activities during those rainy days!

Phuket Aquarium

Phuket Aquarium is one of the main tourist attractions on the island and it is a great place to visit regardless of whether it is raining or not! It boasts an amazing display of tropical sea life and takes you on a journey through different habitats. From mangroves through coral reefs and down to the deepest sea – you’ll see it all here. The main attraction at the Phuket Aquarium, is the ‘underwater tunnel', a large cylindrical tank with a tunnel cut through the centre that enables visitors to walk 'in the sea' while fish are swimming all around.

One of the biggest and best places to go shopping is Jungceylon Shopping Mall. The mall is an air-conditioned and fully equipped one-stop shopping centre in downtown Phuket, Patong. There are over 200 shopping outlets, a cinema, a bowling alley, restaurants and amusements available – everything you need to spend a full day away from your accommodation!

If you want to experience more than one shopping centre during your stay, Central Festival is another great option with similar facilities, located just outside of Phuket Town.

Enjoy your Accommodation

If you’re staying in one of our lovely apartments or villas, you are lucky enough to have a homey feel away from home. Stay in bed all day, order some food and watch TV all day. You may be on holiday and feel like you should be out and about exploring the island, but in terms of real relaxation – nothing beats a proper duvet day!
